The self-checkout kiosk system allows customers to simply pick out the items that they would like to purchase, scan the UPC symbol at the kiosk and pay using a credit/debit card or a reloadable store value card.
Unlike vending machines that have limited choices, an open-air micro-market allows unlimited selection of healthy, nutritious products as well as the traditional vending machine fare. Customers can see nutritional facts, etc. on the packaging before they buy them, so they know exactly what they are getting before they make their purchase.
